Backend Intern
- Contributed to ePasal, a production-deployed e-commerce backend built with Spring Boot microservices and hosted on AWS EC2.
- Designed seven independently deployable services with dedicated datastores, using MySQL for transactional services, MongoDB for the product catalog, and Redis for ephemeral state.
- Implemented OAuth2 resource-server security with JWT signing and verification, plus Google OAuth authentication flows.
- Added Redis-based rate limiting and abuse protection with per-user cooldowns and attempt windows.
- Built an event-driven email pipeline with RabbitMQ, Thymeleaf, and Gmail SMTP for registration and order notifications.
- Improved reliability with Resilience4j circuit breakers and centralized per-service OpenAPI documentation at the API Gateway.
- Containerized the stack with Docker Compose for local development and AWS deployment, exposing only the API Gateway publicly.
